If you are a VAR or a systems integrator, you're probably considering RFID projects, and beginning to study RFID label converters such as Metalcraft. How can you get the best results from your converter? How can you be assured your new RFID label converter will contribute to the success of your work?
As an RFID converter, here is the first of three primary steps we follow at Metalcraft when working with an RFID VAR or systems integrator.
First, we work with the integrator to set up the product requirements. The client may have some very specific ideas about what they want - inlay, label size, printed information, etc. We collect all of that information during our RFQ process. We request a lot of information from our VAR including:
- Nature of the asset being tagged
- Operating environment for the tags
- Surface for RFID label attachment
- Read range requirements
- Inlay preference
- Programming requirements
- Printing of logos, bar codes or other information
- Other required specification
Gathering all of this information allows us as RFID label converters to make the best RFID product recommendation to our VAR and, ultimately to the end user. Next step - testing and pilot orders.
