Metalcraft Helps Business Keep Track of Their Mobile Assets
Little did Tyler Beckman realize that when he founded LensRentals.com, his own camera rental website, that within six years his family-run business would become the most popular photographic equipment rental company in the United States. In a critical economic time when many businesses have been forced to consolidate, Beckman’s own business has grown exponentially, to the point where LensRentals.com now stocks over 8,000 copies of 700-odd photo-related items, with material ranging in value from anywhere between $250 to $25,000.
Bar code Symbologies: 1d barcode vs. 2d barcode
Bar code certainly simplified identifying, tracking, and controlling of assets, equipment and processes beginning in the early 80’s. Tabbed Nameplate - The Asset Tag that Saves Time & Money
Sometimes it's the little things that make a big difference. Customer Feedback Provides ID Solution Inspiration
At Metalcraft, our best new product ideas often come from our customers. That feedback can be provided to us in a number of different ways. It can be as simple as receiving survey feedback about a specific issue from various customers.
Custom Barcode Labels - QR and DataMatrix
While there is a lot of hype (deservedly so) out in the marketplace right now surrounding QR code it is not the only 2D bar code symbology available on the market. In other words, not all 2D bar codes are QR codes. There are a variety of others, but I would like to direct some attention to one in particular - DataMatrix.
Hospital Asset Management
Often times, when we hear from our healthcare customers, they are having issues keeping track of equipment and supplies that are necessary for them to give proper care to their patients. Things like intravenous pumps, wheel chairs and supply kits go missing at the drop of a hat, forcing employees to use their valuable time to track down what they need. When things go missing, it can also force the hospital to unnecessarily purchase new items, which causes flawed record-keeping.
