How to Calibrate the Sato CL4NX Plus
Metalcraft VideosIn this video, RFID Business Development Director Colynn Black demonstrates how to easily calibrate the Sato CL4NX Plus thermal transfer printer, focusing on media and RFID tag calibration using the RF Analyze feature.
The calibration process begins with preparing the media by removing a few labels to expose the liner. This allows the printer to “train” itself on where the liner is located. You then back up the media under the sensor and access the calibration settings via the advanced menu, selecting the “Gap + I-Mark” option for comprehensive calibration. Once complete, pressing the “feed” button will confirm successful calibration.
To calibrate RFID tags, Colynn uses the Sato RF Analyze feature. In the settings menu, adjust the antenna position for on-metal or off-metal tags and modify the write/read power as needed. The RF Analyze tool optimizes the settings or advises adjustments for best performance.
This detailed tutorial simplifies the calibration process for the Sato CL4NX Plus, with upcoming videos on calibrating other RFID printers like the Printronix T4000 and Zebra ZT410.
