Image Quality (Resolution)

For sharp, professional printing, artwork should be high-resolution.

  • Recommended resolution: 600 DPI or higher
  • Provide artwork at the actual size you want it printed
  • Low-resolution images can appear blurry or jagged, especially around text and edges
  • When possible, choose the highest-quality version of your image

File Types We Accept

We can work with most common design formats. The best file types for high-quality printing are:

JPG, PNG, TIF , PDF, EPS, AI, PSD, INDD

Files created in professional design programs (such as Adobe Illustrator or InDesign) produce the best results.

Fonts

  • Please outline your fonts before sending your artwork
    – or include the font files with your submission
  • This helps avoid any unexpected font changes during printing and is crucial for our In-Line Printing Flexo Press

Vector Artwork (Preferred)

Vector art is created with shapes instead of pixels, which means it stays crisp at any size.
Common vector file types: AI, EPS, PDF (from Illustrator) – this is best for all of our printing processes.
Note: “AI” refers to Adobe Illustrator files.

Color Guidelines

Our digital printers use CMYK inks (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black), with one having the addition of Orange, Violet and White, for enhanced color accuracy.

Pantone (PMS) Colors

  • We recommend using Pantone Solid Coated colors for the most accurate printing of solid tones
  • Neon, Pastel, and Metallic Pantone colors cannot be printed

Avoid RGB

RGB is used for digital screens and will not print accurately. Please convert artwork to CMYK before submitting to ensure the colors are as expected. Otherwise in the pre-press stages the artwork will get converted to CMYK, and colors are matched as close as possible.

Full-Color Artwork

If your design includes gradients or photo-style effects, we will print the file as provided to preserve those details.

Our In-Line printing flexo press uses solid Pantone inks that allow for up to 4 colors of printing in one pass. As well as having the added benefit of Ink Jet printing black for any variable information.

If Artwork Needs Cleanup

If your file is low quality, we may need to adjust or touch it up.
We’ll match your artwork as closely as possible and will notify you if anything cannot be reproduced accurately.

With our In-Line Printing Flexo Press, this step is even more crucial. It ensures that the plate that is produced to be able to print your artwork will provide us with a quality print that passes our standards.
