Printing and Encoding RFID Labels on the Printronix T4000: A Step-by-Step Guide

Learn how to efficiently print and encode RFID labels using the TSC Printronix T4000 printer. In this tutorial, a TSC Printronix RFID expert walks you through setting up labels in Bartender software, printing barcodes and human-readable information, and encoding data onto the RFID inlay.

The process begins with selecting the correct printer, configuring label dimensions, and performing a print test. The expert demonstrates setting up RFID objects with EPC Gen 2 standards and serializing data for encoding. Verifying the encoded labels can be done using an external RFID reader or the printer’s internal radio feature.

For internal validation, pause the printer, navigate through the RFID settings, and use the diagnostic “read tag” function. Once the tag is under the printer’s encoding antenna, the printer will confirm successful encoding with a green notification.
