MASON CITY, IA (May 15th, 2024) – Metalcraft, a leader in the identification products industry, has been recognized by United Way with 1 of 8 Champion Awards for Metalcraft’s contributions and commitment.
The Champion Award is awarded to organizations who set the bar of generosity during their United Way Campaign this year.
As a part of their fundraising activities, Metalcraft held a variety of lunches for its members. These included a Halloween lunch, a beef sandwich lunch and a taco lunch. During the Balloon Pop-Up Event, member-owners paid to pop balloons and receive the prizes inside. Auctions were also held for baked goods/pies and gift baskets. The chili/soup cook-off was a fun opportunity for member-owners to compete while raising funds for a good cause. They also participated in United Way’s winter coat drive and some Metalcraft members made contributions or pledges from their paychecks.
Overall, Metalcraft raised more for United Way of North Central Iowa than they did during the previous year.
“Metalcraft went above and beyond with their 2023 Campaign,” said Nate Ruge, Resource Development Director of United Way of North Central Iowa. “From the fun activities planned to the total amount raised, your team made it a priority to have an impact on the lives of our neighbors in North Central Iowa. Our hope is to have all of our area organizations exhibit this kind of energy and commitment that Metalcraft did this year. We’re thankful for all that you do and we’re excited to see what we can do together in the future.”
